A visual mimicry and mockery of the PTX-007-003C Weissritter used by Ensign van den Berg before and during the Belfast incident. It first appeared simultaneously with Taskforce Upsilon's departure towards space, Johanna’s memory of the Weissritter serves as the basis for the Rein Weissritter's abilities as it is based off of her preferred unit. This was done for a multitude of reasons, not least of which being that the unit meshes with her natural abilities well as well as it serving as a confident knowledge basis for her. The sphere of the curious goat forms the basis, fortified by Einst material and technology.

Its purpose is scouting and intelligence gathering, capable of reaching absurd speed due to the technology in it and the fuel source provided as well as access to the pathways between worlds due to the Einst knowledge granted to her and her own machine’s capabilities enabling relatively swift and simple use of this method of transportation.

Due to the Sphere within the unit’s chest the abilities of the Curious Goat are also accessible to the pilot if they are a Sphere Reactor. While the Curious Goat does not provide a direct combat use aside from fueling the machine's systems it does notably grants the user a stream of information regarding the enemies they are facing, unveiling secrets about the enemy that even they themselves might not be aware of, giving a serious edge in combat.

Secondarily it allows for barrier penetration as the attacks bypass that form of defensive mechanism.

Timeskip information:

Shortly after the Reformists reached earth Ensign van den Berg was discovered in southern Germany by their forces and recovered. Given the repaired Weissritter Abend as her personal unit, as was its original intent she formally joined the reformist faction.
When asked about the time between her capture and reappearance she testified being captured by someone who looked just like her, claiming to be 'another her' the time afterwards being a drug hazed blur until her captors died in an assault on the compound, upon which she began wandering in search for civilization.
