Johanna chuckled at Priscilla's remark about getting back, there was a truth to that. Postponing the inevitable and what have you. The more things changed the more they stayed the same as well. When it came to the topic of the Abend she thought for a moment.
"I won't lie a lot of the upgrades kind of fly over my head, but the performance generally went up, the rifle's been upgraded and there's now a high performance mode." That was in truth a partial lie, she did understand more of it then that but there was a genuine uncertainty how much of the machine she was allowed to talk about.

"But all in all, its better at what its supposed to do. Be quick, shoot well and pack a mean punch for its size. So if it does all of those better then its fine by me, even if the armor is basically paper-mâché." With a few paces more the hospital was reached. One placed between the cafeteria and the living quarters, though closer tothe former.

"Anyway here we are at the resident hospital, the one place during this tour I'd recommend you don't visit regularly. Since this is the regional HQ its got some better facilities but out in the field expect the basics."

“Heh, that’s good. I just hope I don’t blow all your armor off with my gusts of wind then.” She said in a somewhat teasing manner, referring to the near flimsy nature of the armor. “But that’s good that you got an upgrade, I just hope it helps us solve this problem sooner rather than later.”

Her eyes would move to the hospital area, it wasn’t bad by any means, but I guess this is what she should expect from a field hospital. In other words, it was nothing special to her. “Well, that’s a no brainer. No one likes being stuck in the hospital or med bay. Especially when people you care about are just out there fighting. Hopefully with the Vysaga, I should be fine.”

She would dwell on those words for a bit, thinking about how she couldn’t be there for her father and brother. What was she doing just staying back home? She should have been fighting for her kingdom, not sitting idly by her fancy garden. Well… it doesn’t matter now, they’re gone, she should assume the worst as to what happened to them despite their MIA reports.

She would snap out from her own thoughts and turned back to Johanna. “Alright, I’m guessing there’s still a few locations left?”

"Just the one, recreation. The place where people go if they have some hours to spare." Johanna once again began leading the way. Heading back towards the area with the barracks but taking a turn where she'd need to have gone straight to reach them. "There's a pool table, table tennis. A few TVs, and oh recently they brought in a few game consoles as well, one even looks like an ancient arcade cabinet."

She elaborated on all the options as she continued to walk forwards, "That's about the rough gist of the selection there, there's more of course but well, you'll see for yourself when we get there which shouldn't be too long now. As for the other facilities here, the only other one I think you really need to care about is the hanger and well, that was right outside when you arrived. From there its a matter of learning to navigate the base quickly in case something happens but that'll happen by itself. Or at least should."

After that they indeed arrived at the recreation room, the door at the end of the hallway opening into a large room, portraying all of the features listed by Johanna and more. "Once we've brought your stuff back to the barracks I'm happy to let you investigate this room further, because for the next few hours there's little on your schedule."

”Well this is quite the surprise. I didn’t think you guys would have something like this in a military base.” She looked around somewhat in awe that something like this was built in a military installation of all places. “And an old arcade cabinet? I think I’m starting to see where all the funding went for this place.” She joked, commenting on the rather ancient machine which was hard to come by nowadays. Well, she guessed it was at least good that the Directory, cared greatly about the morale of their troops.

“Hmm… maybe we could play a few matches of something here later? Could use some sort of practice for Vysaga if they have Virtual Reality here.” She would stop and turned to Johanna. “So, I guess we should see if my stuff is there now?”

"Shaped like one at least, finding a functional one of those old fossils would be a minor miracle, someone willing to sell them a major one." By now all of those were in the hands of collectors, a trophy to present but not play for most. "But sure, that sounds good to me. Would be nice to destress a bit. Oh yeah they got some VR stuff but there is a proper practice simulator for things like that. Less video game, but depending on how you want it still video game-y."

With that she turned back outside of the rec room, as Priscilla mentioned there was something else to do.
"Yeah lets check if that's finally been unloaded and then we can come back here after its cleaned up."

“Sure thing, Johanna.” She said as she followed her. ”You’re the boss after all and I look forward to working with you.” She slightly smiled on that notion, getting a chance to work with the people from Earth, it was nice. If only the rest of the people on Earth, on the Moon and in the colonies could see it the same way. All this war was just fueled by hate and suffering, and it will just continue until no one is left. But she wouldn’t hate anyone, not by a long shot. Priscilla was determined to end all this as much as she can with her abilities.

I won’t give up, Aurum! I won’t give up!
