On the terrace of a nice restaurant near the beach Johanna sat, she watched the sun go down on the calm horizon with the troubles of Upsilon seemingly so far removed from her while she was here.
Her stay had been a pleasant one, she got to talk plenty with her mother and while her father had been busy as ever, he knew about Belfast and managed to at least be able to eat with his family during her short stay, now she was going around Flanders soaking in the atmosphere before being gone for who knows how long once the Air Christmas was repaired.
She rubbed her hands together as a winter breeze came by and finished her drink. With the sun halfway behind the horizon already the Belgian decided to take a quick stroll up and down the beach after she paid.
Given the season it only made sense that the beach was quiet, the sand was harder than usual being half froze but soft enough that Johanna could see that she hadn’t been the only one to traverse the beach today.
Hands in her coat’s pockets the Belgian headed down the beach. Passing by a man and woman as she headed back in the direction of the hotel she stayed in for the night. She felt tired as the sun finally fell beneath the waves. Guessing that the tour of the area had taken more energy than she would’ve liked she contemplated just booting up some games once in her hotel room and doing some of that before resting.
The next morning a well rested Johanna stood up from her bed and began packing her bags, once all the luggage she could find was inside her bags she began fiddling with her phone for a minute before unlocking it. She went through it for a while before putting it in her pocket.
“Right, time to go to Belfast.”
