Bellamy Shikibu was born to a woman left behind by the foreign man who impregnated her. Her life was a hellish one, a childhood rife with troubles and with a mother who was always tired from the multitude of jobs she goes to just to keep the both of them alive. At such a young, impressionable age, Bell learned two things; survival and the fact that humans can be scum to others and even to themselves. Unfortunately, the young girl's gaijin features were prominent and so she was ostracized.
Bellamy Shikibu sent someone to the hospital at the tender age of nine.
She will never forget how that boy's face felt on her knuckles. Bell had an epiphany then. The world despises her and so she needs to be strong. Strong enough to live a life free of worries, strong enough to carry the burden of her mother, and strong enough until nobody else in this merciless life will decide to mess on her. From then on out, Bell changed. No longer was she content to let people hurl insults at her from afar, when her limits are pushed and everything gets too much, her fists are more convincing than any verbal riposte out of her mouth. She took a training regimen, underwent a strict and healthy diet, learned martial arts.
She especially learned martial arts. She took to it like a fish to water, with instincts honed from years of fighting for her right to exist and a willingness to beat up another human being at the drop of a hat. She excelled, she became known, and she soon was winning every match, official or otherwise, that she participated in. And yet ...
And yet she still hungers for more.
One day, she finally found the wall. An old woman. She sold tea cakes and tea at a family owned restaurant near her current Dojo. She remembers that it was Taekwondo at that time but she especially remembers how that old, dull-eyed, hunchbacked, cane-wielding old woman beat her up without Bellamy even landing a significant hit.
"You remind me of my grandson, little wolf. Always hunting, always moving, always learning, always hungry."
The next thing she knew, she was taken under the wing of the strange old lady. Thought to fight in ways anathema to how she fought all her life. She was taught restraint, taught to conserve strength instead of explode as soon as she sees an advantage, taught to redirect blows (and was dope slapped when she said that that's just Aikido and Judo), she was taught ... stories and histories. Folktales that don't make much sense until they suddenly do.
She never managed to defeat the old lady.
If things had turned out different, Bellamy would've turned into a different woman. But no ... the old lady's grandson returned. Stronger than ever. Stronger than even her own grandson and so Bell's strange mentor died, her name the last uttered from the old woman's lips.
Bellamy was consumed by the fires of rage, slaying the Grandson. Inheriting his rage and reigniting her torrid love affair with battle and fistfights. She also inherited his machine, the powerful and menacing Dinforce.
Now as a new horizon of battles were opened to her, Bellamy Shikibu, will rise to the challenge. Hunger for battle, for glory, for victory, and ... for something more in life.
