Biography: The Circle’s resident bioroid specialist, Bertrade is personally responsible (at least to some extent) for programming, calibrating and maintaining whatever cobbled-together varietes the Circle fleet has managed to scrounge up. Though the formerly galactic empire once possessed an appropriate amount of automated assistants, the ES Wave cut down that number to a fraction of its original amount - enough to make every working unit a rather valuable resource.
Her near-obsession with the craft only arose recently following the ES Wave itself, though surviving records indicate significant expertise and a penchant for perfectionism even before the cataclysm. Bertrade’s work has served as an apparent coping mechanism for the sheer destruction she apparently experienced personally during the event, and the technician will always argue in favor of wagering the lives of machines - her machines - in the place of organics.
As for piloting skill, Bertrade prefers to collect combat data personally, but not usually without backup - typically a small contingent of bioroid pilots fitted with her own enhanced programs.

History: A general improvement from its Silverwind design base, the Beautifra is more heavily armed and survivable without sacrificing mobility. Of particular note are self-repair systems, installed to at least delay the weakly-armored machine’s destruction in an extended firefight.
