Whether the solitary figure felt satisfaction or disappointment or truly any emotion that could be fathomed by man at the ultimate effect of its strike against the Regisseur, it was impossible to say by its demeanor and it made no efforts to further inform by other means. After all, who was there to listen but the putrid thing that rest slumped before it? The humans and their laughable mechanical facsimiles of the Einst had been utterly insignificant before, much less now that they scattered like insects beneath one's boot at the sight of the impending battle.

It made no effort to escape nor hinder the billowing miasma that roiled forth from the Regisseur's guts. That deep and unearthly glimmer that shone from its core was ever-visible in spite of the fog should any yet remain to observe beyond the two beings and the larger's own spawn. And on the subject of such, a multitude of the beasts seemed to have sprung forth from its rotten flesh under the cover of the thick haze. The Knochen fell upon the singular Einst even as it stood near-motionless - the only movement evident was a slight crane of the neck that brought its gaze up to peer directly at the distended visage of the Regisseur, before it was obscured by the mass of bodies as they piled atop one another.

Bony claws on dead fingers tore and tore and tore, but the false Einst would find that the only alien meat their overzealous talons rent was that of their kin. Not so much as a trace of the Personlichkeit remained among the mass - but its absence lasted only a moment, the crimson-and-pale entity deposited itself readily back into the present dimension a score of meters skyward of the mound. It had simply departed this plane for Einst Space whence set upon by the Knochen and returned as it pleased.

The horned mask-like edifices that stood sentinel near the thing's shoulders separated themselves from its vicinity. An azure fire emanated from the rear of either; from it seemed to grow a thick-set spine, and further from that sprouted skeletal ribs and plate-clad arms and wings of gnarled bone. In their fists were clutched tremendous blades. They descended to the horde below, and unlike their 'parent' they emitted a deeply-pitched noise that straddled the line between a low roar and an animalistic growl as their aggressions were made evident. Steel - or something akin to - it flashed as they set upon the massed Jetzt, retaliating tenfold with their weapons the harm they had sought to inflict moments ago. Their decaying hides would provide little resistance to the rapidly chopping swords, cleaving autonomously to and fro through their numbers.

Their master rose silently skyward as the golems dealt with the rabble below. A sapphire light shone from the hellish skull that decorated its left forearm; reaching across, it drew from within those confines a long-bladed sword not unlike a katana. The weapon rose then fell in a singular stroke, the movement unleashing a crescent shockwave of concentrated energy and force intended to relieve the Regisseur of one of its misshapen arms.

For each of the Knochen that fell to the blades another fought back with its claws, while the hordes individually stood little chance against the two sentinels by their sheer numbers they did pose a threat. The Glied in turn placing their focus on the dual wielding guardians their tentacled arms reaching to grasp the arms of their foes and drag them down, making little but still some attempt to keep their extensions away from the blades themselves. Aiming to drag them into the dirt alongside their ranks, still safely removed from the main conflict.

The hulking mass began to move, its shadow shifting among the fog. However, unexpectedly it was not towards the Einst but rather to the side, lumbering step after step dragged it further into the water as the crescent cut came down not upon its arm but instead its side. Where it did leave a nasty gash but naught more. Had the Jetzt opted to flee, or did it simply lose interest in the continuation of the duel. Or perhaps it was intent on forcing its foe to pursue it to the depths of the Mediterranean. Either way it barely gave its adversary another glance as its rotting flesh stitched itself together with its movement. The claws attached to its 'waist' clawing at the soil, displacing chunks of it as the monster slowly sank beneath the waves.

In its path, unfortunately for them, were several of the smaller Jetzt, they were uncaringly trampled over along the road. Their forms splattered over the coastal soil with as much grace as their forms were representing. Leaving little but a grey smear trailing behind the Regisseur as it continued its movement. Alongside this the fog, still omnipresent as it coated the environment in a thick haze, began to lighten and disperse. Though not because it lessened but because the movement within it would spread it over a wider and wider area, the Jetzt Regisseur itself now releasing the fumes within and above the water creating a vile mist and hazy waters as it went. Though tracking the source was not exactly hard given its massive stature.

In a sense it was like carrying buckets of water to the ocean to raise it. A laborious undertaking on one's own with little fruitful results, but that similarly went for the hulking monstrosity and its efforts. Both undertaking tasks which Sisyphus would have on his list once the boulder was atop the hill to further fill its time. Two immovable objects lacking an unstoppable force to contest with.
