OE 102
January 25th
Location: Air Christmas Hangar, Ireland

Carrying a tablet Johanna walked into the hangar, tapping at it a few times as if displeased with the device before looking over it once more. She needed some sort of distraction from it, so she peeled her eyes of the screen and scanned the surroundings catching a glimpse of the Mironga and what seemed to be a combat simulation being monitored by the two adults responsible for it and its pilot. She rolled her neck, around as she put the tablet on the inside of her jacket. Sure, compared to Dylan yesterday how bad could this be.

With that she began walking over, eyeing the simulation but not speaking up quite yet, as she was curious to see if her approach was noticed in the first place.

"My...He's survived longer than the last session..." Himari said wearing a dark smirk as she watched the simulation.

"Mmm.. " Kaizo muttered. "He's improving" he chuckled with a wide grin. Onryo was improving much faster than he calculated. "Let's increase the difficulty a bit more" Kaizo said before he started typing on his console.

Meanwhile in the simulator. Poor Onryo was fighting as his life were on the line.

The simulator was a re-creation of his previous battle..Except he was alone with his Mironga and Bartolls and... There were twice if not more Shimeisou!

Kaizo recreated the crab monsters behavior from the data he collected from the battle to create a simulation for Onryo to prepare him for less human enemies. But this was getting ridiculous. But despite having a rough start Onryo was getting better after each session. The first session clocks him dying in just under 2 minutes but right now Onryo had survived for a lot longer than that and even managed to take out a few Shimeisou...

"Haa..Haa..huh?" Onryo looked above him and spotted an enemy coming towards him. He quickly fired his thrusters and dodged! And as the large crab passed him he sent two Bartolls to go in for the kill!.. However at that moment another Shimeisou appeared behind him. The boy stared at the newly arrived enemy wide eyed. It was too close! He had no time to dodge! "I'm not gonna make it!" he muttered as the beast caught the Mironga with it's claw and crushed it.

SIMULATION CONCLUDED
"Oh... Too bad" Kaizo said typing something on his tab. He then leaned into the mic and said "Alright! Let's take a break!"

Onryo who was still in the cockpit was still trying to catch his breath. He kept re doing the sim for god knows how long.. But at least he finally got a breather. He opened the hatch and exited the Mironga. He was a little off balance when he stepped out. Probably because of how long he spent in the simulator...

Johanna watched the simulation silently leaning against a nearby wall, it was impressive in its own right though a simulation it may be. Watching the timestamp on the first session it dawned on her that the poor kid had been doing this non stop basically ever since the battle concluded. At least the next time he fought the crab like beings he'd be properly prepared though how he'd perform against anything else was up in the air.

As the difficulty was cranked up Johanna pushed herself off it preemptively knowing how scientists tended to do simulations, Onryo wouldn't be going for much longer. And indeed, they'd over-tuned it causing the Mironga's cockpit to open and the black haired boy within was revealed. As he stepped out Johanna would move past Kaizo and Himari and stop nearby their 'son' before speaking up.

"Not had much chance to enjoy the vacation I take it?" She asked "If this even counts as a vacation, maybe I should've dragged you along for my little trip." She says with a smile before looking to the Mironga and back to Onryo.

Himari stared at Johanna from the corner of her eye as she walked passed her and raised an eyebrow. "Hm?" she muttered. "Kaizo, who's that?" she asked her husband.

"Johanna Van Den Berg. Age: 23. Pilot of the Weissritter, terrible at using melee weapons but pretty good when it comes to ranged weapons" Kaizo said while still typing on his console.

"I see..." Himari muttered as he crossed her arms under her chest still staring at the blonde haired woman.. "Looks like she and Onryo know each other..." she said turning to Kaizo.

"Really?" Kaizo asked turning towards Johanna and Onryo and smirked. "Why that's good! That's very good!" He said with a chuckle. "Things are going better than I initially thought" Kaizo was absolutely ecstatic about the situation but Himari was confused... She had no idea what was going on in her husband's mind...

Meanwhile...

Onryo was bent down his hands on his knees still trying to catch his breath. The simulator really took a lot out of him... But at that moment he heard a familiar voice. He looked up to find Ms.Johanna. Which was a welcome sight to see considering all he's been looking at so far were nothing but golden crab monsters trying to eat him alive. Seriously his father's simulator was way to realistic...

Onryo raised an eyebrow at her statement.. "Vacation?" he muttered trying to figure out what part of this could be considered a vacation... He almost died to crab monsters just a few days ago... So he was pretty sure that something like this does not count as a vacation...

"A trip? Did you go somewhere Ms.Johanna?" Onryo asked raising an eyebrow.

As she walked Johanna pointedly ignored the remarks of her skills by Kaizo, it seemed someone had read her personnel file. Well, good for him.

"Wait, so nobody told you?" Johanna crossed her arms, shooting a glance at the duo of scientists, one of which was smirking at them and with a sigh looked back to Onryo. "See, we had shore leave after you know." She gestured behind her to the entrance, and with it the ruin outside. "That whole show. Basically a week to do whatever we wanted to, to simmer down, and seeing as its somewhat in the area I took the chance to head back home and collect my thoughts."

Johanna leaned against the Mironga, eyes remaining on Onryo. First Ashley, now Onryo, it seemed everyone who was under the eyes of scientists here was being treated shittily. Though unlike Dylan, bar them denying the kid a vacation the pair that ran the simulator hadn't done much to their 'test subject'. In relative terms at least.

"And from the sounds of it and those timestamps I really should've brought you along. If only to get you out of this room."

"Sound nice..." Onryo said looking down with a slight smile.

"Huh?" Onryo looked up when Johanna mentioned the timestamps. "Oh the simulator? It's not that bad once I got used to it... Except for when I had to fight 3 of the big ones.." he said shivering thinking back to the time when he was put up against 3 Shiseiten.. That session was absolute hell. The only thing the boy could do was run and shoot and then get shot down... But at least he got better at dodging and shooting... 1 Shiseiten was bad enough... But the poor boy was forced to fight 3... Sure it was only a simulation but that didn't make it any less scary...

Johanna winced. She knew some 'workaholics' but those forced into it never turned out all that well, and given he said it wasn't that bad but was still shivering like he had just been pelted by a cold wind in winter told her enough.

"Sounds to me like you need more of a break than just chatting with me five meters away from the simulator." Johanna shook her head for a moment.
"The constant busying about aught to be kept to the C-Types, they'll just keep running and functioning without pause but we, well we still need actual rest and no training is worth it when you're in conditions of exasperation that would never get you fielded anyway."

With that she motioned for him to follow.
"So we're gonna do something else real quick, be that go for a quick walk outside, grab a snack or something else entirely." It didn't seem like she was going to let Onryo say no to this. Though perhaps some aught to disagree.
