Well that was a unexpected reaction, to see Minerva lighting up like a Christmas tree. Roman however took it in stride, giving a disarming smile as his partner in crime stated the conditions of her end.
"Yourself and Ashley are fine to remain hush hush of course, Cuddles is the hardest bargain. Mind you I don't wanna, nor plan to take him from you. Doubt I could."

He thought for a second getting ideas.
"But well his cool shades are a bit too interesting for my colleagues to just leave be, so if you were to say come along with me I think you could leverage yourself a nice position for staying in charge of creating and regulating those fancy hats, the words mass production come to mind but feels inappropriate."

Roman shrugged with his shoulders,"You catch my drift though Cuddles is and remains all yours but well maybe he could do with some play mates. If you want him to stand out you can give him a crown even."
He chuckled at the idea, hand still aimed at Minerva.

"But yeah the more science-y folks are going to pry into that regardless, this gives you control of the momentum as well as production."

Go... with him? She turned her gaze back out over the battlefield, processing the information, mulling it over every which way. She could, of course. She had regular backups of the DAMON project made, the data stored safely within the Caper's cockpit. But... If she left then that left Vertalis alive. Dylan's little Sycophant... She could not leave that man alive, and she wasn't done with him yet. She still needed him for some of the research. Perhaps if she could extricate his brain into a jar or something... some way to force him to remain consciously alive but unable to do more than mental tasks. Finding a way to control the DAMON without those hats... would prove difficult without him as much as she hated to admit. He was the authority on it, never mind the contributions and breakthroughs she made. But then... these would be untainted scientists. Ones who would see her for the intelligent being she was, not some dull research assistant kept around out of pity and inability to let go. But...

"I can't leave yet," She said quietly, "Not until Vertalis is dead or under my control." Yes, he would make a MUCH better doll than corpse... She smiled at the thought. "And besides, How will I feed you information if I'm not here to gather it? Once I have accomplished my goals with Vertalis though, how about I call you and you can kidnap me and all my research on the DAMON project? Leave it as a future acquisition rather than immediate. A long term goal that you can liason for me and your scientists perhaps, to ensure they are amenable to the deal and will uphold the bargain." She looked up at him with a slight frown, "And as much as I do not like people, there are a few I am fond of. Eliza is smart and Anna is doting. I do not see their wreckage on the field, nor did I see them return... I will admit I am worried."

Roman nodded at Minerva's counter proposal. "Yeah that's understandable, I don't blame you would've been an alternative really take what we can now and go, but later is fine." Roman shrugged as he looked out the window again. "You got yourself a deal then, I'll put you in touch with the folks who know, who can help you out and vice versa."

His tone was sympathetic understanding her reasons for refusing there were ample things underway that she couldn't just leave behind.
"I'll get you all that stuff after catching a breather though, still sore from crash landing." He noted. "And I'll come kidnap you, cuddles and either that guy's ashes or walking corpse, whatever you feel like. Well, when you're ready. But for now welcome to the team, Minerva."
If one of those hats could control a damon why not a smaller version for a human he figured, though if she was gonna kill or keep him Roman was unsure of at this point. One thing was for sure however, with her around he and she wouldn't be bored.

"I for one look forward to the stuff you'll make. And we can probably set up a supply chain so you can send off some stuff for our use." He gave a smile "But for now, congrats on your job in the espionage business."
