He irregularly buys high-end electronics to keep himself occupied as he doesn’t take much of an interest in anything else, and plays some of the newest Mecha videogames to sharpen his skills in melee combat.
Biography: Lanius was born in a rich district of Luna's human colonies, where he grew up surrounded by Everglory values and similar family lineages that stretch through decades. His first few days in Kindergarten were spent learning about high-class studies which he didn't take completely to heart, but instead took as a sign that he was meant for something greater.
The Welter family based all of its wealth on a business that dealt in moon-based archeology, which he took a small interest in when he started to go to his local school at age 14. There, he made his first contact with people other than servants and barely made any friends. Instead, he made a name for himself as the 'moondust kid' and only found a good friend in the Archeology teacher as he was good friends with Welter’s father and CEO of the company.
He learnt bountiful knowledge about the artifacts that were claimed from within Luna’s darkened caves, and sought knowledge for the rest of his school years until he became a senior in his high school.
A fateful field trip at the end of his final year to one of the great cave systems on Luna gripped Lanius' mind, which only became more of a dream as it was also the first time he fitted himself inside a space suit.
Inside the cave, a machine rested inactive. Once the group had travelled to the cave and uncovered the machine under a thick layer of rock and dust, a single shot rang through the entire cave system just as everyone’s back was turned.
A large group of illegal prospectors had found the same object, and held the group hostage. The children were forced to help with extracting the mysterious pink machine, while Welter urged himself to clear out the rubble obstructing the cockpit. Eventually, he snuck in and flipped on the machine’s power.
Within a few moments, he had used the power of the Coustwell to eviscerate the criminals. He was almost immediately taken in by belated security personnel, and given the circumstances, he was given a suggestion to face the families of the criminals in duels.
With his Welter family pride hanging in the balance, Lanius now works on his combat in a simulator and waits for the day when he would start his first duel against the family that wants revenge. Secretly, he plans to make connections and forge a new future for himself.

Due to this, he is completely unskilled and hopeless at ranged combat and doesn’t grasp any kind of tactics aside from what he has seen in simulations. If the situation becomes too intense, he is prone to losing himself and entering a state of fear like a regular civilian.
