Before Lanius knew it, his eyes were tracing the edge of a gigantic blade that was coming closer to his machine. A moment later, a gigantic crash rocked his cockpit and both the pilot and the machine were sent reeling back from the force of the cut. The only thing he could notice other than the damage was a telltale sound of air rushing through
a thin space.

"Sir Lanius..."

As the Coustwell rounded back upon its foe, it would have been met with a terrifying sight. One of the W-Horns had been drawn and swung in his direction, its pointed tip breaking apart to reveal a crackling, glowing barrel of power that illuminated the features of both machines. William's voice came through over the communications array, surprisingly calm as he offered a single word:

"Duck."

Frakk!

A concentrated blast of Dimensional Energy lanced overhead - large enough on its own to easily envelop the Coustwell - but instead it narrowly scraped him, traveling up and away, to strike-

...Something.

Something that was, very importantly... Not him. In the distance, there was a small explosion, and to the Coustwell's long range sensors, the forms of several scattering green, wing-like shapes would have appeared, now beating a hasty retreat into the void as the Sapphiard replaced the weapon, now focused on the retreating Opus units.

A soft technological blinking brought Lanius' shuddering eyes to attention. On the long-range scanner's display, a shape hovered about the endless sea of stars, almost invisible if it weren't for the glint of starlight reflecting from it. With the realization reaching him, Lanius swiftly turned his head to his communications and boosted the signal with some button taps before he adjusted his seating and held both control handles.

"Peeping toms, eh? Too bad they're up against both of us. ORGONE!"

The Coustwell riled up with the same green energy spewing out in glowing spikes of light, before placing its head first and laying its arms beside it. It swiftly blasted off, with Lanius paying some attention to the damage incurred on his machine while he moved.
