A Direct Descendant of the infamous Oda Nobunaga, Shortly after the end of Sengoku Era Japan, the remnants of the Oda clan joined with the Kusanagi Clan, becoming a branch of their school. Around the time of the founding of the Lunar Kingdom of Everglory, a civil war broke out within the clan, leading to the separation of the Main family, with one half moving to the Moon to live amongst the Knights of LKE and hone their swordsmanship. The other half stayed on Earth in Japan, staying true to their roots. Nobushiro is a stern, mature figure and the current head of the Earth Clan. The earth clan puts less focus on the arts-side of the Kusanagi Sword Style, and put more emphasis on the combat and practical experience. She is very prideful as a warrior and adheres to the Bushido. While prideful and respectful of other warriors, she does have some disdain for the Lunar clan, as she believes that they abandoned their homeland to live in the lofty Everglory.

Born to a family of smithies on the moon of Io in the midst of the machine war, Vera’s hometown was largely unaffected by the War… for a short while. The danger had always loomed on the horizon, though direct conflict never happened. Even still, Vera had heard horror stories of the machine war’s effects, and either by fear or bravery, Vera wanted to train herself to protect her family, her town against the machines. Due to Io having a large manufacturing sector, it wasn’t hard for Vera to gain a mobile worker that she was able to practice and train her piloting skills in.
It was in her 20th year that the fighting finally made it to her town. She thought she would be prepared, but what came was unlike anything she expected. The Machines took the town by storm, destroying everything in their path. Her parents forced her to flee into the tunnels to escape destruction while they tried to buy time. However, as she was traversing through the tunnels, due to the intense fighting happening overhead, a cave-in occured, sealing Vera in on both sides. She couldn’t recall the time she spent trapped, but she hated herself for being so useless, all her training was for nothing, everything she did to prepare herself for this, gone to waste.
When she thought the fighting had subsided, a large earth-shattering explosion was heard, and the ground rumbled and shook, the ground below her falling out and her along with it. She ended up at the foot on an underground facility of sorts, all but abandoned. As if something was calling out to her, she ventured into the facility, eventually stumbling upon a robot of some sort. It stool tall at 16 meters, with an almost feminine form, and a golden crest of some kind of angel figure mounted on its head. She climbed to the cockpit and entered the mobile suit, activating it with surprisingly, little issue.
The TR-6 Woundwort, likely something built to fight against the machines, though how the facility became abandoned, or why it was left, Vera was unsure. Regardless, it was a tool she could use. Though from what the system console told her, it seemed that it was missing some functionality to it, or rather, it was complete, but several option parts were missing from it. Nonetheless, she took the fight to the Machines, making the abandoned factory as her base of operations. She first began with her hometown, clearing out whatever machines kept rampaging there. She slowly spread out from there, gathering people who were still alive, and brought them under her wing, offering protection for loyalty.
It wasn’t long before the “Angel of Io” rumor began spreading around the surrounding area. People began to flock to Vera, and rebuilding began. Within the chaos of the Machine War, Vera took advantage and slowly began to set up a small “city state” of sorts on Io, where people would be relatively safe from the machine threat. It was also good timing in that the War was slowly beginning to die down, Which allowed Vera to stabilize her rule of this small city. Composed mostly of pilots and engineers, they seized control of nearby production facilities, allowing for their ability to repair and build new mobile suits. During this time, Vera had also discovered several blueprints tied to the Woundwort, designs for many of the option parts that had been missing from the start.
By the time the War had ended, Vera completely solidified her position as leader of this city-state of mercenaries, or as the various official governments called them, “Vultures.” Vera disliked the negative connotation connected with the name, as she saw herself as a Hero, rather than a villain. Regardless, it was survival of the fittest, and Vera vowed to never be as useless as she was on that day.
