~Initial Log; On Current Testings~

In light of recent... events, I have encountered several pressing subjects to study. As such, I will be compiling my findings onto these logs for posterity as well as my own aid.

~On Extrapolated Findings of the "Astral Plane"~

Excuse my curtness in this log, my recent studies have been quite exhausting.

As a part of the physical alteration my body underwent, it would seem I have developed a very specialized organ. This organ appears to have the capacity to tap into some form of energy hailing from what I can only describe as "the Astral Plane". The energy itself, henceforth known as astral energy, appears to not be entirely dissimilar conventional dimensional energy. After much deliberation and study of my new organ, I opted to form a new addition to my human body: an eye that could see into the source of the astral energy.

I must admit, this eye is the source of my current distress. The Astral Plane is a feverish, horrific, and fantastic world. I can scarcely describe it wholly with sufficient detail. The plane is so densely packed with energy that I can only look into it for so long before I begin feeling a kind of existential ache. In addition, strange and surreal creatures and spirits roam the lands. At times I wonder if they sense my presence, and I cease my observation out of fear. The plane itself seems to emulate the features of our own world, its denizens going about their business in their homes and cities just as we ourselves do-albeit in the most abstract sense imaginable.

Recounting this is beginning to make me physically ill, so I shall be moving on.

As far as the astral plane's capacity and application in our world goes, I have ideas for my own use, but it would seem that nothing good would come from extensive study of that chaotic land or, heaven forbid, traversing it. This being said, I find it almost irresistible; I wish to unravel its mysteries in my own time. But I digress.

The reason for one's revulsion and curiosity is likely due to the uncannyness of the astral plane. As if looking into some otherworldly mirror, one sees their world but in all the wrong ways. I suspect the dread I experience from my peering is some cosmic warning sign, some reminder that you aren't supposed to be there. I would hazard a guess that were one to enter the plane completely, it would do its best to remove you.

As there is still much to explain and discover, this log will likely warrant some addendums.
