History: Originally an unofficial group of Halcyon's allies living out of a specific block of Lunaedies, Last Ark quickly became a fully functioning community for those left behind and forgotten when Halcyon upgraded to one of the many abandoned research facilities on the PLANT.
For those fortunate enough to live on Lunaedies, or able to travel there, entry and asylum is relatively open. For the unable, they might have the luck of being deemed worthy of Earth's grace by Halcyon himself.
Last Ark makes up a rather major part of the PLANT's local defense force. Among the other Vulture units protecting "the nest", very few are esteemed as greatly as Last Ark.

Biography: Produced near the end of the war, Halcyon was one of the last Coordinators to be made for combat. As humanity was beginning to turn the tides, they were pushing out pilots as fast as was advantageous for them; hence, Halcyon entered service at the age of 12. He was rapidly promoted, whether for his skill as a coordinator or simple need from the military, and was given one of the latest protypes, the Destiny Gundam, when he had only just gained the rank of lieutenant. Halcyon was part of the final push against the AI to seal them into Jupiter and aided in several cleanup operations after the fact. When the war had officially ended, Halcyon's unit disbanded; The only things he had left were the Destiny and bitter memories of war.
After experiencing humanity's fight against extinction, Halcyon was unable to integrate into society properly. After all, he was literally born to fight. Now he was just a tool that outlived its usefulness.
It wouldn't be until several years after the war that Halcyon would find a renewed purpose in life. His eyes were opened to the myriad castaway souls left behind after the war when he met Rem, a young newtype abandoned by her parents. From that point, Halcyon decided that he would gather up and care for those forgotten by humanity.
As time went on, Halcyon grew more and more disenfranchised with the subsistence living of Jupiter's satellites and their respective colonies. Although he was born among the stars and knew little of humanity's birthplace, he had a feeling that whatever was on Earth was better than what he'd experienced in the Jovian sphere. As Halcyon's community of misfits grew, he would eventually officially dub the group as the Last Ark, a haven for the lost and a vessel bound for the cradle of humanity.

Keith had begun to get touchy with the waitresses when Halcyon arrived; he was fully prepared to beat some sense into the drunkard, but when he grabbed Keith by the collar and their war weary gazes met the two instantly understood each other.
From that day, Keith has been one of Halcyon's closest friends and his most trusted ally.

It was dangerous to leave the conversion processes undone, so his unit was completed despite humanity no longer needing their abilities. The conversion was done with only nominal effort so as to lessen the final impact on the patients' brains. Sylus and the others were given special masks that would alleviate the aches and mental instability that are common to cyber newtypes.
A weapon without a purpose, Sylus found his new home in Last Ark. Sylus met Halcyon several times, and was frequently astounded by his grace and good. Sylus wished to give back to Last Ark and approached Halcyon. Seeing a kindred spirit in Sylus, Halcyon had Sylus join his personal mobile suit squadron as he had heard that cyber newtypes could lessen their pains by using their abilities.

Amadeus was the head of his namesake, the Amadeus assault carrier, and commanded several of humanity's more notable heroes. After the war was over, Amadeus' crew was disbanded excluding a small team of mechanics to maintain the ship and his mechanical body. When Halcyon approached Amadeus to aid Last Ark, Amadeus whole-heartedly accepted.
