Name: Aeolus
Age: 3
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 110 lbs.
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Silver
Ethnicity: Android
Appearance: Screenshot_10.png
Other information: Aeolus has trouble understanding and expressing positive emotions like joy, whimsy, and hope.

Biography: Aeolus is the culmination of Professor Morgan Lafaye's research in artificial intelligence and biomechanics. Originally designed strictly to learn, process, and emulate human behavior to a tee, Aeolus was later refitted to interface with certain cockpits and operate mecha in exchange for favors from a variety of military organizations. Outside of combat missions, Aeolus largely acts as Lafaye's assistant on board the Pendragon, Lafaye's lab ship.
To aid in his mental development, Lafaye instructed Aeolus to pick up hobbies. While Aeolus has developed an interest in things such as reading and writing, what he considers his primary hobby at the moment is model building. Aeolus has trouble deliberating what draws him to this.

Mobile Weapon: Straybird

Affiliation: Independent/Civilian

Combat Style: Speed
Strengths: Near instant reaction speed due to direct interfacing with a mobile weapon
Weaknesses: Has trouble adapting to uncommon tactics

Name: Penelope
Age: 3 months
Height: 4'8"
Weight: 90 lbs.
Eye Color: Red
Hair Color: White
Ethnicity: Android
Appearance: Screenshot_14.png
Other Information: Penelope often communicates with Aeolus without speech through her indirect link with their machine

Biography: Developed with data gathered from Aeolus' development, Penelope is, in more ways than one, Aeolus' sister unit. Her purpose beyond furthering the field of learning computers is to aid Aeolus in the cockpit through the use of her indirect interfacing system which allows her access to a machine without the need for a specially fitted cockpit. Due in part because of her upgraded cyber-brain, Penelope has developed her humanity much faster than Aeolus and expresses emotions much more openly. Because of this, Penelope has bought into Lafaye's notion that they're all a family. Penelope is still developing, however, and she can go great lengths of time being utterly silent and showing little emotion. During these times, Penelope often plays with Lafaye's many biomechanical animals aboard the Pendragon.

Affiliation: Independent/Civilian

Combat Style: Support
Strengths: Able to generate advanced battle telemetry and feed this data instantaneously to Aeolus
Weaknesses: Overly cautious

Name: Morgan Lafaye
Age: 34
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 184
Eye Color: Green
Hair Color: Red
Ethnicity: L1 Colonist
Appearance: Screenshot_12.png
Other Information: Research always seems to go inexplicably well for Lafaye no matter what

Biography: Born to a higher class family in the L1 colonies, Lafaye generally had an easy time of things. Lafaye's interest in robotics was sparked by her family's business of producing mechanical children's toys. A special line of toys that would mimic a person's movements as closely as possible piqued Lafaye's interest in humanoid machines; for ages mankind has been allured by the notion of creating fully functional human analogues, and Lafaye had been caught under the spell. Working off of these humanoid toys, Lafaye would go on to create a line of machines that could be taught movements and patterns, and that, eventually, could operate semi autonomously. It was at this point that Lafaye would begin creating Aeolus. It took over 2 years to make Aeolus' intelligence at the base level, and several more to teach it not only to emulate human thought patterns, but to produce them naturally. As Aeolus' intelligence advanced, so to did his housing; starting out in a simple spherical toy that would roll along the floor, Aeolus' body would periodically be updated as his training necessitated it.

After Aeolus' final body was finished and his intelligence was transferred, Lafaye kept baby photos of sorts for all of Aeolus' previous iterations. After some time had passed, and Aeolus' could now effectively operate independently, Lafaye began work on a second android using what she had learned in the development of Aeolus. For experimentation purposes, Lafaye chose to keep this production secret from Aeolus. The A.I. development went much smoother with Penelope than with Aeolus, and the body took practically no time at all to produce. Penelope was created partially as a supplement to Aeolus' growth and partially as a proof of concept for several design changes. The most obvious change was the gender, size, and synthetic skin. Whereas Aeolus' skin was only applied to his face and upper torso, Penelope's entire body would be covered. The first month of Penelope's operational development would be spent acquainting with Aeolus who was instructed to attempt to teach as much of what he had learned of humanity and emotion as possible. The second month of operation would have Penelope periodically take the place of Aeolus as Lafaye's general lab assistant to both further teach Penelope as well as gauge Aeolus' reaction to his new "sister" getting attention. The third month of operation is meant to effectively bond Aeolus and Penelope as a team; Penelope's indirect interface system was installed and she now accompanies Aeolus on combat missions.

Lafaye always showed an odd attachment to her machines, but after creating Aeolus and Penelope she now treats them as if they were her own children. Penelope has accepted this quirk and plays along, but Aeolus doesn't fully understand the sentiment and often doesn't respond when Lafaye tries to baby him.

Description:

History: The DEI was investigating mysterious spacial anomalies in North America when they discovered a fully intact over machine. The machine appeared to be a humanoid combat machine like many other over machines. As the machine was effectively embedded within the area's landscape along with various anomalous materials foreign to the region, the head researcher tasked with the investigation didn't feel comfortable braving prolonged exposure to the machine's anomalies to extract and study it. When they had gotten as much data as they could without actively doing anything to the machine, the head researcher called on Sir Gareth Bors and the Round Table Research Group, known for braving adverse conditions such as these, to extract and study the machine. After just over a month, a team led by Bors himself had discovered that the machine was sending out waves of dimensional energy in a rather predictable pattern; during the longer spells between waves, Bors' team would excavate as much of the machine as possible before retreating to safety.

When the machine was finally excavated and safely contained, it was designated and given its code name, Straybird. Due to the potentially dangerous nature of the Straybird, the machine was left in the hands of the Round Table under the pretense that any and all findings about it would be shared with the DEI. Bors, equally skeptical about the Straybird's operation, had a hard time finding anyone willing to subject it to testing. Reaching out to the several heads of the Round Table, Bors eventually came to Lafaye. After much deliberation and dealing, Lafaye agreed to prepare her android, Aeolus, to operate the Straybird. The full extent of the deal between Lafaye and Bors are known only to themselves.

After the machine was effectively deemed safe to begin testing, it was found that the Straybird was originally meant to house two pilots. As the de facto head of pilots, Lafaye set to work on a second android to bring out the full potential of the Straybird. Several advances have already been made in the field of dimension technology thanks to research done on the Straybird, many of which are currently housed on board Lafaye's personal ship, the Pendragon.

Description: Screenshot_13.png

History: The Pendragon was initially a commercially built civilian craft that Lafaye had acquired after her first few major business successes. Originally, it was roughly half the size it currently is and lacked many of its more technical systems. Before the Straybird was to be given to Lafaye to begin operations, Bors greatly modified the Pendragon in order to properly house the Straybird; also adding several experimental systems and parts in order to give it a fighting chance on the battlefield.
While the Pendragon has no fighting armaments to speak of, the ship is equipped with the "Avalon" Intangibility Drive which functions similarly to the Straybird's "Imaginary Road" to slip the craft into a subspace layer to avoid obstacles and enemy fire for several minutes at a time. While Avalon is active, the ship appears translucent and physical matter and beams alike pass through the ship harmlessly; the ship can maintain use of the Avalon for about an hour so long as it doesn't move or use any major systems. While Avalon is active, any passengers in the ship can function normally, although humans have shown to experience mild headaches and odd sensations when Avalon has been active for extended periods. When Avalon is switched off, there is a refresh period of 2 to 3 minutes before it can be turned on again.

Outside of combat, the Pendragon is meant to house Lafaye's labs as well as her extensive "museum" that she brings to several colonies and countries in exchange for monetary gain or favors from leaders in the area.
The museum features what can only be described as a petting zoo of Lafaye's biomechanical organisms as well as the more recent fruits of the research conducted on the Straybird and other dimensional technology.
