A place where those from other worlds end up. An Earth of many names, faces, and cultures, all of whom call the same planet home. With the discovery of Overtechnology buried beneath the surface of the Moon following the success of the Aegis Project, mankind entered new golden age, ascending among the stars, unified under the protection of the Directory government. Mankind's reach extends as far as the asteroid fields of Jupiter and the surface of Mars, pioneering new frontiers as the mysteries of the universe reveal themselves to him.
Over one hundred years passed, and now the age of peace has fallen, giving way to a new era of war.

Six months have passed since the destruction of the Great Circle's battleship, and with it over ten-thousand refugees; the resurrection - and destruction - of the Evil God of Destruction Volkruss, and the disappearance of the spacefaring mega-structure known as the Swordian.
The Directory, still reeling from the revelations of corruption exposed by the London Speech and the assassination of Chairman Hammar, as well as the losses of Director Lao, has crumbled into regional infighting. Those of the global superpower still willing to fight found themselves the target of foes both without and within, as the renegade Terra Sentinel marched upon their strongholds and cities, putting long-planned dreams of insurrection into action.
Aided by the Guardian System of orbital satellites, within a matter of months any resistance to Hyperion's advance from those below had been crushed, and total annihilation seemingly an inevitability.
However, the reappearance of the Kingdom of Everglory, as well as surviving elements of the Directory's former Taskforce Upsilon, launched an assault upon the satellite arrays, successfully halting the orbital bombardment. Under the guidance of the former Queen Selene and Brigadier General Rodgers, the Reformist faction took aim at not only halting the rampant destruction, but rallying the disparate elements to their side.
Seeking bloody vengeance for the destruction of the Tantra, elements from the Combine - an alliance of space colonists and alien refugees from the Great Circle - launched a surprise assault on the Air Christmas and the reformist faction, intending to drive the Guardian Satellites to earth, dropping them on capital cities to prepare them for invasion. As the two clashed, the drop was averted - but not entirely prevented, landing off the coast of Australia.
As Terra Sentinel rallied, a new threat emerged. One that had been been biding its time for just such an occasion to erupt forth, with all the force of an exploding volcano.
Rising from the frigid south, those known as the Ruina, monstrous servants of the Lord of Destruction, descended upon the exposed supply lines of their foe. Their goal was not annihilation, or disruption, but suffering and the harvest of Negative Energy, all of which would be used to fuel the arrival of their own dark messiah. For three days and three nights, the Ruina rampaged unchecked, until running afoul of the Earth Cradle and its defense forces, which annihilated those who dared to disturb its peaceful slumber.
All sides now prepare for the war to intensify, each certain not only in its convictions, but the malice of the others as old scars bleed anew, and old scores demand to be settled.
Lastly, hidden from view, shrouded in the blackness of space...
