The Vendolius family made a name for themselves during the first days of lunar excavation for they were among those to first introduce androids to the excavation teams and ease the burdens of their fellow man. Purely coincidentally they also became one of the richest families on the surface of the moon at the time buying them much favor and influence.
One field however, they did not touch. That of the creation of mecha, as first D-Extractors and then Orgone came they did not participate in this arms race, of course this resulted in them moving away from the spotlight as well but given that their factories were supplying every step of Lunarian life with their servants all this meant was that as the knights engaged in their bloodsport they got to watch in peace and quiet.
Sure, they were still famous but could accept that their time centerstage had passed. Perhaps, considering the display at the ZONE this was a rarity among those born in this land. Nevertheless they continued all the same, but over time accepted more and more custom works. Some were works of art, some were bodyguards.. And some simply wanted both.
But were one to want for the best of the best, like integrating their own technologies into pieces of art designed to kill at a moment’s notice well, there was nowhere better to turn then to the Vendolius'.
Valeri however, had also fashioned an interest in the EOT that their product dug up. Dreaming of ways to integrate it into their designs wondering what could be made with such marvelous wonders hidden inside this celestial body. So ever since he took charge of the mining operations when particular items of high value were located, there would be a nice ding in his office with an image of what was found.
And so his personal collection grew, items that got his favor were never registered among the finds in the crevice and instead transported to a place for safekeeping to both admire and experiment. Nowadays this process has mostly come to a close. Not because he was caught but because for over a year the man has been obsessed with one find, the greatest find.
Crecedia, an entirely intact machine was found by one of his workers and soon delivered to him. Ever since the young man has been obsessed with the machine. Seemingly caring little that the days of prominence are well and truly over now with the formation of Endymion the majority of their factories were repurposed for the production of basic soldier type Bioroids now rather than the works of art made previously still with the war well and truly underway the profits have not been this high in a long while.
While war is a profitable venture there has been a decline in their presence in other fields ever since a majority of their existing androids were destroyed during the Volkruss incident six months ago. This combined with the opening of Luna’s borders bringing in cheaper workforces is gradually pushing them out of these sectors. While having a backbone of a workforce that will never unionize is considered favorable by employers, it has brought a spotlight back on the Vendolius family for less than favorable reasons as these formed and forming unions do not take quite so kindly to this fact.
