Biography:
Violet Royce was born to a pair of loving but poor parents. His father was a baker and her mother worked as a receptionist on a low-end hotel, but she can confidently say that she never wanted for anything in her childhood. Despite how poor they were, both of her parents were ardent supporters of the Directory and it was this that lead to her dreaming of piloting her own mecha. She was determined and almost every moment of her life between ten and her acceptance to the Directory's piloting school was spent on honing her skills. She read mecha manuals, intently listened to the histories and the wars, and Violet took to martial arts like a fish to water.
When she entered the training course, Violet was already predicted to be an ace pilot once she graduated. Her grasp of mecha combat was downright prodigious and no one among her batchmates could even hope to defeat her in one-on-one combat, especially once she got into melee range. Only one girl came closest and it was only because she managed to keep Violet away through supreme long-range capability. They'd grown a friendship, her and that van den Berg girl. A friendship stemming from rivalry and a friendship that sometimes dips into none-too-friendly territory, but it's still a friendship. They've been teamed up in a mock exercise only twice, because it was just completely unfair to the other trainees on how terrifying a combination the two of them can be. Then, near their graduation, Violet was pulled out to be the test pilot of a new machine for the directory. A prototype based off of the venerable Gespenst. It was called Alt Eisen and it looked like a machine just built for her. Her initial test runs at it were magnificent, it was as if the machine was made for her!
It all changed when the limiters were removed.
A catastrophic malfunction occurred while she was in mid-air. The extremely durable cockpit kept her safe, but her head had stuck something upon impact and she was sent to a deep coma.
When she woke up, the world has changed.
The rogue Terra Sentinel has returned, casting anarchy upon the world, exposing the rot deep within the soul of the Directory. The vaunted world-wide government itself was fighting its own body, cells against cells, soldier against soldier, brother against brother ... sister against sister. The red machine that nearly killed her has been upgraded since the crash that sent her to a long sleep but it has also been subsequently stolen.
Instead, an even more experimental armored module was given for her to use. A machine built from the extra parts of both the original Alt Eisen ... and her lost friend's Weiss Ritter. For the life of her, nobody has explained about the thing's power core to her though.
Now, armed with a machine just as aimless as her, Violet Royce flies straight to an uncertain and dangerous future.
