Terrorized by the scream of death that pierced through the Stardust's song, and even further by the shots fired by her Fluid launchers as they broke buildings - please be empty please be empty - Sigrid did not notice the Chokijin until it was far, far too late to even attempt to dodge the nen attack.
In a last feeble, pathetic attempt to avoid certain death Legerior CL's arms formed an x to cover the Masouki's chassis from the upcoming beam even as she knew that it was futile. Inside the cockpit, Sigrid closed her eyes, not daring to look certain death in the eyes as it came for her.
She did not want to die. Her father had been right, she was not cut out for this. Those were to be her last thoughts, vocalized only by a strangled sob brought by the overwhelming dread and fear.
...And yet, death did not come, the pain never came.
Opening her eyes, the overwhelming fear turned into liberating relief as Sigrid's gaze was met by a peculiar sight, the beam had been brought to a halt by a field of magical circles of which their make and style she had never seen before. And petals and flowers there were alongside the circles as well, forming an ethereal field of flowers. The field of flowers that had surely saved her life was the single most beautiful sight she had ever seen, and in that moment she was certain that it would remain that for the rest of her life.
Yet even if she had been saved, the beam had wreaked havoc on the city, and she knew that it had surely inflicted even more death.
"Th- thank you." The voice trembled at first, yet even during those two simple words it strengthened and steadied tremendously as Sigrid was strengthened by newfound determination, even if likely fleeting in nature. She did not want to fight, she never wanted to fight again, wanted to go as far away from a battlefield as possible. To hide and spend rest of her life in peace.
Yet if not stopped the demon they were facing would slaughter countless more than what had already been slaughtered in cruelty this day. On a day that had already seen far more bloodshed than what ever should have taken place.
The Fluid launchers were placed on the tail, and the blades on the wings were taken out and combined into one. The combined edge of the two blades glowed bright orange as Prana was supplied into it, and the hand holding it bent backwards, before throwing the combined edge at TouTetsuOh in an arc so that it would approach its left side. Yet even during that action, the free hand had taken one of the Fluid launchers out, and now shot several shots at the Chokijin as a distraction more than anything.
The other hand, now freed of the blades, went for the other Fluid launcher as Legerior CL burst into a movement, maneuvering to the right in a way that was only possible due to the wind spirit's blessing. Changing the launchers' setting to Hi mode, once again two tubes connected them into the Masouki's thrusters as it came to a stop to TouTetsuOh's right.
Once angled and positioned in a way where even if she was to miss the shots would not hit any of the buildings, Sigrid opened fire. With a roar the Hi Fluid launchers released twin streaks of energy barreling at the Chokijin.
